Located at 21 Lagrange Street, Avery & Pope Wealth Management specializes in financial planning for individuals with growing assets who want to make informed investments. Originally housed on S Court Square, Avery & Pope Wealth Management moved to 21 Lagrange Street in 2024. The first known use of the building was in 1846, as it housed Coweta County’s first Court Solicitor Young James Long. Known as the Major Long Home, the house was used for Sunnyside Baptist Church services. In 1936, the Major Long Home was home to Newnan Roller Cover Works. In 1949, the building became home to Alford Music Company and Station Radio Service Repairs. During the 50s, 21 Lagrange Street housed Clifford Crawford, another Coweta County Court Solicitor. Directly before Avery & Pope Wealth Management, the building housed Bob Shapiro’s Photography Studio. Started in 1985, Bob Shapiro always aimed to provide quality photographs and historical preservation through his work, which he ultimately succeeded in doing over his 50 yearlong career. In addition to studio work, Bob Shapiro shot Alan Jackson, Gov. Ellis Arnall, President Jimmy Carter, and Prince Phillip throughout his career.
